Winter Property Styling Tips

When it comes to selling your home during the winter months, it can be a difficult feat, but here are three property styling tips to help take the chill out of selling your home during the winter.
Remember it may take a bit more time and effort however if you do it right you can make your home stand out above the competition.
- Get rid of the clutter.
Take family collections and photos down and take away any excess furniture. Make sure storage areas, closets and cabinets are meat and clean as well.
- Let in the Light.
Open all curtains and blinds to show those sparkling windows( if not sparkling, grab some cleaner). Schedule your viewings to take advantage of any sunlight that your home gets during the day. Make sure all lights & light bulbs are working. Switch on any accent lighting or lamps if necessary (as per the photo)
- Neutralize odor and/or add a pleasant scent.
Let some fresh air into your home by opening up the windows. Make sure all odors from pets and smoke are gone, then add a nice scent like pumpkin spice, or vanilla spice from candles or incense.
- Warm it up
Just to make it more welcoming, turn up the thermostat prior to a viewing. Buyers won't hang around if your home is cold and uninviting. If you have a firepalce maybe light a fire to add to the overall ambience.
If you set the scene potential buyers so buyers can see themselves living in the property. If the property is vacant consider renting furniture & accessories for the main areas. If the home is occupied and needs a little help then you may consider property styling to help
